Bryan has over 25 years of experience in the commercial banking industry. He began his career with the Bank of the South in Atlanta, after which he joined NCNB National Bank of North Carolina (predecessor to Bank of America), where he served as a commercial loan officer on the Charlotte loan platform. From there, he moved to First Charlotte Bank as a vice president in the commercial loan area. In 1991, Bryan joined Park Meridian Bank as its senior vice president and senior loan officer, and was subsequently appointed that bank’s executive vice president. Upon the acquisition of Park Meridian Bank by Regions Bank in November 2001, he became executive vice president of Regions Bank. In January 2003, he was promoted to president – Charlotte and was promoted again in November 2004 to president – North Carolina, serving in that capacity until January 2006, when he left Regions Bank to become president of Park Sterling Bank.
