Profile:
Rob began his banking career in 1975 with a community bank in Augusta, Georgia as a consumer lender and later as assistant branch manager. In 1977 he joined Farmers and Merchants Bank in Aiken, SC where he served as assistant branch manager and was later promoted to assistant vice president and branch manager in North Augusta, SC. Rob moved to Cheraw, SC in 1984 where he was employed by South Carolina National Bank as assistant vice president serving as operations officer for all the offices there and as branch manager of the main office. In 1989 he transferred to Aiken, SC continuing his employment with SCN which was acquired by Wachovia in 1992. While at Wachovia, he was promoted to vice president and served as commercial lender and business banking officer. In 1994 Rob left Wachovia to join Palmetto Federal Savings Bank as vice president and credit administration manager for the company. Palmetto Federal was acquired by Regions Bank in 1998 and Rob continued his work as credit officer in Aiken until 2005 when he transferred to Charlotte as group credit director responsible for credit administration and asset quality for the Mid Atlantic Group which included offices in NC, SC, VA, and GA. Rob joined Park Sterling in October, 2006,
